Activated charcoal binds to dirt and oil and pulls it out of pores, leaving skin clean and refreshed. Tamanu oil has anti-inflammatory properties and is thought to combat acne while also keeping skin moisturized. Tea tree (melaleuca) oil is well known for its powerful antiseptic properties. Note: the activated charcoal gives the bars a rich black color, and produces a slightly gray lather, and may stain light colored washcloths over time.
